Saw several of these lumbering locals on the short road out to Dove Lake…completely unconcerned at the chattering camera clickers less than 2m away. They must have been waiting for me – I’d said to MDH that I’d be happy just to see one alive after all the road kill we’ve seen on the way here.
So nice to see one fat and healthy rather than belly up!
